How many CAS numbers can I check at once?
Up to 200 per lookup. Paste them one per line, or separated by commas, semicolons, tabs or spaces. Duplicates are removed automatically and a column copied from a spreadsheet works as it is.
Why is a CAS number marked as invalid?
Every CAS Registry Number ends in a check digit calculated from the other digits. If the check digit does not match, the number was most likely mistyped, so we flag it before searching rather than return a false match.
What happens if a CAS number is not listed?
Our online catalogue covers a large share of what we supply, but not all of it. Use the sourcing request button next to the number and it goes into your quote list as a custom line. Our team then checks availability, grade and lead time for you.
One CAS number shows several products. Which one should I choose?
The same substance is often offered in several grades, purities or pack types, for example HPLC, AR and pharmacopoeial grades. Add the grade you need, or add the best match and tell us the grade in the enquiry notes.
Does a lookup create an order or share my list?
No. A lookup only searches the catalogue. Nothing is sent to us until you open the quote list and send the enquiry yourself.
