Quality, COA and SDS at Zemixal

For a chemical buyer, quality means three things: the material in the container is what the label says, there is evidence to prove it, and it arrives in the condition it left. This page explains how Zemixal works towards each of those.

Before we quote

Agreeing the specification. We confirm which specification applies, whether a pharmacopoeial monograph, an ACS reagent specification, a producer's in-house limits or limits you send us. If a test you need is not on the standard COA, we ask whether the producer can add it.

Choosing the source. We work with manufacturers whose analytical capability and documentation we have reviewed. For each enquiry we request current lot data rather than a generic data sheet, so the quotation reflects the material we would actually ship.

Before we ship

Checking the COA. The producer's certificate of analysis is checked against the agreed specification. A missing test or a result outside limits is resolved before the lot is offered to you.

Inspecting the goods. Containers are checked for correct labelling, lot number, closure integrity and packaging that suits the hazard class and transport mode.

Independent testing. Where a buyer asks for it, or where a result needs confirmation, we arrange testing at an independent laboratory and name the laboratory and method on the report.

What you receive

  • A certificate of analysis for every lot, showing specification limits and actual results.
  • A 16-section GHS SDS for every product.
  • For reference standards, characterisation data such as HPLC, NMR, MS and IR as relevant.
  • On request, and where the producer issues them, statements on residual solvents, elemental impurities, TSE/BSE, allergens or origin.

Products can be supplied with pharmacopoeial (USP/EP/BP/IP) grade documentation where the grade exists. The COA always states which monograph and edition were applied.

Traceability

Lot numbers on labels match the COA and our dispatch records. If you raise a query months later, we can retrieve what was shipped, which documents went with it and who produced it.

When something is wrong

If your incoming tests disagree with the COA, tell us with your method and results. We compare the data with the producer's records, retest if needed and replace or refund confirmed non-conforming material. See our returns policy for time limits.

Supplier qualification

Many customers qualify Zemixal as a supplier. We can complete supplier questionnaires and provide the documents relevant to the products you buy. Send requests to contact@zemixal.com.
