Chemicals for agrochemicals and crop protection

Chlorinated aromatics, pyridines, phosphorus chemistry, solvents and fertiliser salts for active-ingredient makers and formulators.

Crop protection chemistry is built on a short list of reactive starting points. Chlorobenzenes and chlorophenols feed phenoxy herbicides, cyanuric chloride is the core of the triazine family, picolines lead to pyridine-based actives, and phosphorus trichloride and oxychloride sit behind organophosphates. Formulators then add aromatic solvents, ketones and emulsifiers to turn a technical active into a stable concentrate.

How Zemixal supports agro manufacturers

Our Specialty Chemicals division lists these industrial intermediates and process solvents, while Inorganics and Metals supplies nutrient salts such as ammonium sulfate, potassium chloride and urea for granular and water-soluble blends. Development teams can pull heterocyclic building blocks from Pharmaceutical Intermediates, since many crop actives share scaffolds with drug molecules. Residue and formulation labs use pesticide-residue solvents and reagents from Solvents (HPLC and GC).

Hazard and paperwork

Several of these inputs are corrosive, toxic or water-reactive. They travel in UN-approved drums or IBCs, declared under the IMDG Code with the correct UN number and packing group. Each lot carries a COA and a GHS SDS, and we can add a certificate of origin for preferential duty claims.

Zemixal supplies raw materials and intermediates only. Registration of a finished pesticide remains with the formulator in each market.

Questions

Buying for agrochemicals and crop protection

Can you match a technical specification written by our formulation team?
Yes. Send the parameters you test on receipt, such as assay, moisture, isomer ratio or colour, and we compare them with current lot data from the producer before quoting. If a limit cannot be met, the quotation says so plainly.
Do phosphorus chlorides need special packing?
Phosphorus trichloride and oxychloride react violently with water and release hydrogen chloride. They ship in dry, sealed steel or lined drums, under Class 8 with a subsidiary toxic hazard, and are kept away from aqueous cargo in the container plan.
Which documents help with customs for fertiliser salts?
Alongside the COA and SDS we provide a commercial invoice with the HS code, a packing list and, where a trade agreement applies, a certificate of origin. Some countries also ask for a phytosanitary or quality certificate, which we arrange on request.
