This policy summarises how Zemixal dispatches orders. The specific terms of any order are those on its quotation and proforma invoice.
Dispatch times
Items in stock are normally dispatched within 3 to 7 working days of cleared payment or receipt of a compliant letter of credit. Sourced items, bulk quantities and custom synthesis follow the lead time stated on the quotation. If a lead time changes after you order, we tell you promptly and agree how to proceed.
How we ship
- International express courier for samples, standards and small packs.
- Air cargo from Mumbai or Ahmedabad for larger or urgent consignments that are permitted by air.
- Sea freight, as full or part container loads, from Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra.
- Road transport for customers within India.
We quote under Incoterms 2020, including EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR, CIF, CPT, CIP, DAP and DDP. The chosen term determines who pays freight and insurance and where risk passes.
Dangerous goods
Hazardous chemicals are packed in UN-specification packaging and declared under the IMDG Code or IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Some substances cannot travel by courier or passenger aircraft, and dangerous goods surcharges may apply. These are included in the quotation.
Tracking and documents
When goods leave us, we email tracking details and copies of the commercial invoice, packing list, COA and SDS, plus the transport documents for air or sea shipments.
Duties and import formalities
Unless the quotation says otherwise, import duties, taxes, clearance fees and import permits are the buyer's responsibility. Shipments held at customs because permits are missing may incur storage charges, which are also for the buyer.
