EP / Ph. Eur. (European Pharmacopoeia)
The European Pharmacopoeia, published by EDQM of the Council of Europe and legally binding in the states that have signed its convention. Ph. Eur. is the preferred abbreviation, because EP is also used in some catalogues for extra pure grade. New editions appear every three years, with supplements in between.
