AR Grade
Analytical Reagent grade, a purity grade for chemicals intended for quantitative analysis. Its specification sets a minimum assay and maximum limits for named impurities, so the reagent does not add significant error to a result. The limits are set by each manufacturer, often modelled on ACS or ISO reagent specifications, so they can differ slightly between suppliers.
