Importing chemicals into Mozambique
Pharmaceutical imports need authorisation from ANARME, which registers medicines and licenses importers, so confirm the importer's status before an API order. Hazardous chemicals are subject to environmental licensing through the Ministry of Land and Environment, and INNOQ handles standards. Clearance is handled through the electronic single window by a licensed customs broker, who should receive our invoice, packing list, COA and SDS early. Documents are often requested in Portuguese. Dangerous goods must be shipped under IMDG rules, and air consignments under IATA rules.
