Chemicals for batteries and energy storage
Lithium salts, cathode precursors, electrolyte solvents and salts, binders, graphite and lead compounds for cell R&D and production.
Battery performance depends on materials that are pure in specific ways. Cathode precursors such as nickel, cobalt and manganese sulfates must be low in iron, copper and other metals that cause side reactions. Electrolyte solvents need water below tens of ppm, and lithium hexafluorophosphate decomposes to hydrofluoric acid the moment moisture gets in.
Materials across the cell
- Cathode. Lithium carbonate and hydroxide, NMC sulfates, lithium iron phosphate and vanadium oxide.
- Anode. Natural and synthetic graphite.
- Electrolyte. Ethylene carbonate, dimethyl carbonate and LiPF6.
- Electrode processing. PVDF binder and NMP solvent.
- Lead-acid. Lead oxide and sulfuric acid.
Salts and active materials are listed under Inorganics and Metals, and electrolyte solvents under Solvents (HPLC and GC). Binders and additives sit in Specialty Chemicals.
From coin cell to pilot line
Research teams can order gram and kilogram quantities, then scale to drums with the same producer. Send your impurity limits, especially for magnetic particles and trace metals, and we confirm a source whose COA reports them. Moisture-sensitive salts such as LiPF6 ship sealed under inert gas, and each lot carries a COA and a 16-section GHS SDS for your incoming checks.
