Batch or Lot Number
A unique code that identifies material produced in one manufacturing run or filled from one homogeneous lot. It links the container to its production and test records, its certificate of analysis and its retained sample. Batch numbers make it possible to trace and investigate a quality problem and to recall affected material if needed.
