Certificate of Analysis (COA)
A document issued for a specific lot that lists each specification test, its acceptance limit and the result obtained. A useful COA also identifies the product, CAS number, lot number, manufacture date and retest or expiry date, and names the method or monograph used. Buyers compare it with their own specification on receipt, so a generic data sheet without lot results is not a substitute.
