Molarity
The concentration of a solution expressed as moles of solute per litre of solution, written with the unit mol/L or the symbol M. A 1 M sodium chloride solution contains 58.44 g of NaCl in one litre of final solution. Because volume changes with temperature, molarity varies slightly with temperature, whereas molality, based on solvent mass, does not.
