Questions
Buying for batteries and energy storage
What is the difference between technical and battery grade lithium carbonate?
Battery grade typically requires at least 99.5 percent Li2CO3 with tight limits on sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron and sulfate. Technical grade is cheaper but suits glass, ceramics and greases rather than cathode synthesis. The COA shows which limits were tested.
Can NMP be supplied with low water content?
Yes. Electronic and battery grades of NMP are offered with water typically below a few hundred ppm and low metal content. Because NMP is hygroscopic, keep containers sealed and consider smaller packs if usage is slow.
Is lead oxide restricted for shipping?
Lead compounds are classed as toxic and environmentally hazardous, and some countries require import permits. They ship in sealed drums with full dangerous goods documentation. We confirm destination requirements at the quotation stage.
