HPLC
High-performance liquid chromatography separates compounds dissolved in a liquid mobile phase as they pass through a column packed with fine particles. Components move at different speeds according to their interaction with the stationary phase and are detected as they elute, commonly by UV absorbance or mass spectrometry. It is the main technique for assay and impurity testing of pharmaceuticals.
