Lasers and imaging systems depend on components that reflect, split or filter light with precise control. This sub-category supplies laser and scintillator crystals, mirrors, filters, beam splitters and wave plates. Examples include Cerium-doped YAG (Ce:YAG) single crystals at 50 mm diameter and 50 x 50 mm, 0.5 mm thick, UV-enhanced protected aluminium mirrors, 532 nm band-pass filters at 12.5 mm and 25.4 mm, and broadband polarising and non-polarising cube beam splitters.

Coating performance defines these parts. Mirrors are chosen by reflectivity across the working wavelength and by laser damage threshold. Filters are chosen by centre wavelength, bandwidth and blocking. Beam splitters are chosen by split ratio and polarisation behaviour. For crystals, doping level, thickness and orientation decide light output and resolution.

  • Mirrors and filters for laser lines such as 532 nm
  • Beam splitters for interferometry and imaging
  • Ce:YAG crystals for scintillation and phosphor use

Components are packed in protective cases with coating information. Custom wavelengths and sizes are quoted on request.

Laser Crystals, Mirrors, Filters & Wave Plates: questions buyers ask

What is the difference between polarising and non-polarising beam splitters?
A polarising beam splitter transmits one polarisation and reflects the other, separating light by polarisation state. A non-polarising beam splitter divides light by a set ratio, often 50:50, with minimal dependence on polarisation. Choose polarising types for isolators and polarimetry, and non-polarising types for interferometers and imaging.
How do I choose a band-pass filter for a 532 nm laser?
Pick a centre wavelength of 532 nm and a bandwidth that passes your laser line while blocking other light, such as 10 nm for general use or narrower for Raman. Check the blocking range and optical density outside the pass band, and the filter diameter for your mount.
Why are aluminium mirrors UV enhanced?
Bare aluminium reflects well in the UV but oxidises. A protective dielectric overcoat prevents this, and UV-enhanced versions tune the coating to keep high reflectance at short wavelengths. They suit UV spectroscopy and lithography optics, though silver or dielectric mirrors reflect better in the visible and infrared.
