Imports start with Form M, opened through an authorised dealer bank, which ties the transaction to foreign-exchange and customs processing. Most chemicals and all APIs need a NAFDAC import permit obtained by the importer before shipment, so share the permit details with us before we load. Some regulated products also require a SONCAP certificate from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria. Keep the Form M number, NAFDAC permit and our invoice consistent. Dangerous goods must meet IMDG or IATA packing and declaration requirements.

Questions

Solvents (HPLC & GC) for Nigeria

Can Zemixal deliver solvents (HPLC & GC) to Nigeria?
Yes. We ship by sea to Apapa (Lagos) and Tin Can Island (Lagos), by air cargo or by express courier depending on quantity and urgency. Every lot carries a COA and a 16-section GHS SDS.
Which documents come with a HPLC & GC solvents shipment to Nigeria?
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis and SDS as standard, plus the bill of lading or air waybill and a certificate of origin. Anything specific to NAFDAC (chemicals) / NESREA is agreed with you at quote stage.
How long does delivery to Nigeria take?
Allow 25–35 days for ocean transit or 3–6 days by air, plus packing, export clearance and import clearance. The timeline on this page shows each stage.
Which solvent grade should I use for LC-MS rather than HPLC-UV?
LC-MS methods need solvents with very low metal ion and non-volatile residue content, because sodium and potassium adducts and background ions show up in the mass spectrum. HPLC-UV methods care mainly about UV cut-off and particle content. Choose LC-MS grade for mass detection and gradient HPLC grade for UV work to balance cost and performance.
How should opened bottles of HPLC solvent be stored?
Keep bottles tightly capped, away from light and at room temperature, and avoid topping up reservoirs with fresh solvent over old. Acetonitrile and methanol absorb moisture and pick up contaminants from the air, and tetrahydrofuran can form peroxides once its stabiliser is used up. Date each bottle on opening and follow your lab's in-use period.
