Municipal and industrial water treatment relies on a small set of chemicals bought in large volumes. This sub-category supplies the essentials for coagulation, disinfection and pH control. Products include Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) 10–30%, Aluminium Sulphate 17% in ferric and non-ferric grades, Ferric Chloride as liquid, anhydrous or hexahydrate, Hydrated Lime, Hydrogen Peroxide Solution 35–50% and Benzalkonium Chloride Solution.

Selecting a coagulant depends on raw water turbidity, alkalinity, temperature and the sludge you can handle. PAC works over a wider pH range and produces less sludge than alum, while ferric chloride performs well in cold water and for phosphate removal. Jar testing on your own water is the reliable way to set the dose.

Liquids ship in HDPE drums or IBCs, and powders in lined bags, palletised for container loading. Each lot comes with a COA and SDS. For drinking water, tell us the standard your authority applies so we can confirm a suitable grade.

Water Treatment Chemicals: questions buyers ask

How do I choose between PAC and alum?
PAC is pre-hydrolysed, so it consumes less alkalinity, works across a wider pH range and forms flocs faster, often at lower doses. Alum is cheaper per kilogram and well understood. Run jar tests with both on your raw water and compare final turbidity, sludge volume and total cost per cubic metre treated.
What is the difference between ferric and non-ferric alum?
Ferric alum contains a small amount of iron, which gives a light brown colour and suits wastewater and industrial treatment. Non-ferric alum has very low iron and is preferred for drinking water and paper making, where iron could cause colour or staining. Choose by the end use and any applicable standard.
Can water treatment chemicals be shipped in full containers?
Yes. PAC, alum, lime and salt are commonly shipped as full container loads in bags or drums, and liquid ferric chloride in IBCs. We quote FOB or CIF to your port. Tell us the product, form and monthly consumption and we will suggest packing and container loading.
