Rare Earth Oxides
Rare earth oxides are the starting point for phosphors, magnets, polishing compounds, catalysts and laser crystals. This sub-category supplies them in several purities and physical forms. Cerium oxide alone appears as Ceric oxide at 99.99% and 99.999%, a GR 99.9% grade, Cerium(IV) oxide powders at 0.5 µm, 1-3 µm and below 5 µm, granules of 0.7-3.5 mm and pellets of 1-3 mm at 99.99%.
Purity for rare earths is usually stated relative to total rare earth oxides (REO), so a 99.99% grade means other rare earths are below 100 ppm. Non-rare-earth impurities such as iron and silicon are listed separately. Physical form matters as much as purity, since polishing needs fine, controlled powder while evaporation and sputtering use pellets and granules.
- Fine powders for polishing, catalysts and ceramics
- Granules and pellets for evaporation sources
- 5N grades for phosphors and optical crystals
Each lot ships with a COA and SDS. Larger quantities can be quoted for ceramic and catalyst users.
