Nitro, azo and hydrazine compounds share a nitrogen-rich chemistry that feeds dye manufacture, explosives research and, most often, pharmaceutical synthesis. Nitroarenes are reduced to anilines, while aryl hydrazines build indoles and pyrazoles. This sub-category includes 1-Bromo-4-fluoro-3-nitrobenzene, 1,2-Dinitrobenzene, 1-(difluoromethyl)-4-nitrobenzene, 1-(5-Methyl-2-nitrophenyl)ethanone and (3-Fluorophenyl)hydrazine hydrochloride.
Halogenated nitrobenzenes are valuable because the nitro group activates the ring for nucleophilic aromatic substitution, and the position of each substituent decides which halogen reacts first. Buyers should confirm the substitution pattern carefully. Hydrazines are reducing agents and can be toxic and sensitising, so they are often supplied as more stable hydrochloride salts. Store free hydrazines cold, under nitrogen and away from oxidising agents.
Some polynitro compounds are energetic and travel with restrictions, which we check during quotation. All items ship in sealed containers with a COA and SDS. Gram to kilogram quantities are available for most intermediates.
